The Alamo: Children and parents can take a tour through the historic Alamo to get a glimpse into a part of Texas history. Located at 300 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205. San Antonio Missions: Take the time to stroll through the four majestic mission churches within the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. All of the Missions are active catholic parishes. In addition to the four missions, visit the grist mill at Mission San Jose and the 270-year-old Espada acequia (irrigation system) with a dam and aqueduct. The visitor center is located at Mission San Jose (6701 San Jose Drive, San Antonio, TX 78214). This would be the best place to start on your tour of the Missions. Mission Concepcion (807 Mission Road), Mission San Juan (9101 Graf Road), Mission Espada (10040 Espada Road). The Missions are open year round closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday: 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is free. Six Flags Fiesta Texas & Waterpark: Fiesta Texas has so much to offer families looking for a great time! Incredible water park fun during summer months. Sea World San Antonio & Waterpark: Sea World is a great vacation spot during the summer but there is a lot to offer during the Fall and Winter months. San Antonio Zoo: Major renovations have been done at the zoo to enhance your experience with the animals. The Africa Live! exhibit is now open and allows visitors to experience the plants and animals of Africa. For smaller zoo visitors, Kronkosky's Tiny Tot exhibit offers wonderful hands-ons experiences with real wildlife. Located at 3903 North St. Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78212. The San Antonio Children's Museum: The Children's Museum offers hands-on experiences "where kids play to learn and adults learn to play". The museum offers many interactive exhibits for young children: Tot Spot, PowerBall Hall, HEB Kids' Market and Cafe, Hill Country Bubble Ranch and many other science and art activities. Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch: The Ranch is spread over 400 acres of the Texas Hill Country. As you drive on your 4 mile tour, you can experience 500 animals representing 40 species of native, exotic and endangered wildlife.
